Foundation Day marks the historic laying of the foundation stone of IISER Mohali in 2007. More than an institutional anniversary, it is a flagship outreach celebration where our university opens its doors to schools, young students, teachers, and science enthusiasts from across Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and beyond.
We believe that scientific breakthrough starts with uninhibited curiosity. Through student-curated live experiments, inter-school competitions, campus tours, and keynote lectures by premier scientists, Foundation Day demystifies complex research and brings the joy of inquiry to the public.
